WHere is a home-style take on a beverage from a new cocktail list. This is a party-sized pre-mixed that's bursting full of flavours of the festive period, rendering it perfect for your holiday party. Any leftover cordial to use in morning drinks, puddings, or to make another batch of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 guests
To make the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
To prepare the Cordial: Put every ingredients inside a saucepan, bring to a light boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the stove and leave to cool down completely. Pour into a clean bottle, seal and refrigerate it chilled, it can be stored for up to a month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Pour the specified spirits and syrup in a large bottle, let it rest for an hour, then filter it preferably using muslin, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base to a stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring lightly for a minute to cool it down. Filter into an frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
